- Title
COMBATANTS - LAWFUL AND UNLAWFUL.
- Authors
Meisels, Tamar
- Abstract
The article focuses on the new type of agents involved in contemporary armed conflicts and their insights. Accordingly, the distinction between lawful and unlawful combatants serves as the most basic distinction between combatants and non-combatants or civilians. This distinction in the most practical level gives the irregulars as the new type of agents the right to involve in the battle and face and solve the battle's aftermath. This right of irregulars should lead international lawyers to pay attention to the distinction between the rights and privileges based on strict moral grounds.
