As in-game camera simulations evolved with the gradual development of graphic images and the expansion of virtual worlds. This development, which is called in-game photography, lead up to virtual artistic photography and experimental gameplays. In this study, the historical development of "in-game photography" as an umbrella term, has been revealed and practical uses of in-game photography are examined by comparing virtual camera interfaces and purposes in Dead Rising 4 (2016) and Horizon Zero Dawn (2017) games.
