- Abstract
The article discusses the role of pretend play in language skills and cognitive development in children. It highlights the importance of engaging preschoolers with English as an additional language (EAL) to develop phonological awareness (PA) and vocabulary among them. It further highlights using this approach of teaching practices in classroom operations and the methodology used for it.
