In this article, the author discusses the University of Houston-Downtown (UHD) and its participation with Association of American Colleges & Universities (AAC&U) Advancing Undeserved Student Success through Faculty Intentionality in Problem-Centered Learning project. Topics discussed include implementing transparency and problem-centered learning into courses, transparent assignment design for improving student learning and surveys from intervention and control courses.
