- Abstract
The letter responds to a study on the radiological outcomes of magnetically controlled growing rods (MCGR) for the treatment of early-onset scoliosis (EOS). The authors of the letter express concern about the methodology used in the study, specifically regarding the inclusion of patients who underwent final fusion in the analysis. They argue that including these patients may overestimate the effectiveness of MCGR in curve correction and growth. The authors suggest that the results should be presented separately for patients who did not receive final fusion, or alternatively, for the entire group before final fusion. They believe that this clarification would be valuable for the medical community studying EOS.
