- Title
3.0 REGULATION OF PRICE COMPETITION.
- Authors
Werner, Ray O.; Reid, Brad
- Abstract
The article presents legal developments in marketing with particular focus on the regulation of price competition. One development describes the case of Power Draulics-Nielsen Inc. v. Libby-Owens-Ford Co., which shows that a supplier who tries to gradually terminate relations with a distributor may unfairly aid the distributor's competition, and in turn violate the Clayton Act. Another development discusses the case of Valley Liquors Inc. v. Renfield Importers Ltd., which clarified what evidence a terminated regional distributor must present in order to prevail in an antitrust claim against a national distributor.
