- Abstract
The article focuses on the dynamics of knowledge in Sweden during the seventeenth century. It mentions that the educational realm in the country has flourished much during the seventeenth century and it is evidenced by the close relationship between philosophy and theology, which in the second half of the century has been dominated by judicial thought. It also cites the signing of Swedish king Gustav Adolf of the foundation of the University at Tartu that was established in 1632. It adds that the establishment of the said institution in the region has caused Sweden to become a regional power. Moreover, it also mentions that rejection of the Jesuit education in the course of the reform in the Catholic church following the Council of Trent.
