- Abstract
The article focuses on the international laws and policies that connect many nations, regional initiatives and international organizations in a common enterprise to repress maritime piracy in Africa. It explores the threat of maritime piracy in the Gulf of Aden and the western Indian Ocean, as well as the international law governing counterpiracy repression efforts.
