Liu, Y.; Yang, R., and Dhakal, S., 2020. Full 3D seismic interpretation technology in canyon waterway research in deep water area of Western South China Sea. In: Li, L. and Huang, X. (eds.), Sustainable Development in Coastal Regions: A Perspective of Environment, Economy, and Technology. Journal of Coastal Research, Special Issue No. 112, pp. 359-362. Coconut Creek (Florida), ISSN 0749-0208. This paper combines the full 3D seismic interpretation technology with the characteristics of seismic data. This method applies geological knowledge to seismic interpretation, which enables interpreters to quickly obtain various information from three-dimensional data bodies of different properties, for local structures and fracture systems. Systematic research and mapping of sand bodies and sedimentary facies belts. The application results show that the full three-dimensional interpretation technology has the characteristics of high interpretation precision, fast speed, clear structure details and objective interpretation results. This paper analyzes the exploration verification rate of this technology by 86%. It can be seen that the full 3D seismic interpretation technology has important application value in the deep water exploration in the western South China Sea.
