- Title
FACIAL PLASTIC SURGERY CLINIC. The paramedian forehead flap for nasal lining reconstruction.
- Authors
Rosenberg, Joshua D.; Gupta, Nikita
- Abstract
The article describes the case of a 48 year old man presented with a squamous cell carcinoma of the nasal septum with a history of a coagulation disorder with prior pulmonary embolus. Instead of a free tissue transfer for reconstruction, a paramedian forehead flap was used to reconstruct the internal nasal lining with rib cartilage grafts used to reconstitute the nasal framework. The forehead flap pedicle was divided 5 weeks following the initial operation.
