- Abstract
Topical oxymetazoline applied once daily was approved by the US Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of persistent erythema in rosacea. Erythromelalgia is an infrequent syndrome with a profound impact on quality of life. This drug mechanism targets the increased blood flow present in rosacea, which is also shared by erythromelalgia.4 Based on this, we tried the same drug in our patient, achieving an excellent response.
