- Abstract
The article presents the case study of a 34-year-old woman with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) having disseminated cutaneous Mycobacterium kansasii infection. It is stated that mycobacterial infection is a threatening complication in patients with HIV. The woman had a history of high fever and disseminated subcutaneous nodules and skin ulcerations. A large infiltrate of neutrophils associated with nontuberculous granuloma was revealed by histopathological examination.
