- Abstract
The article discusses the practice of teaching in Indian Reservations in the U.S. and the quality of education and cultural competencies in the transnational settings for Indians. It is noted that the students in Indian Reservation schools typically struggle on the standardized tests that are enforced by the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB). According to the author, the underachievement are surrounded by issues which include lack of teacher training for English language learners (ELLs).
