- Abstract
To better prepare teens for the workplace, educators and businesses offer programs which allow the youth to learn about entrepreneurship at a young age. The Youth Entrepreneur Summer Program (YES) offers high school students the opportunities to uncover their business skills through business training and activities. Also, data and presentations from several local business entrepreneurs are incorporated into this program. The students are educated on businesses operations, entrepreneurial endeavors, business plans, social media, and marketing strategies. This article will briefly describe the major components of the YES entrepreneur summer program. In addition, the authors will share the business and technological strategies that were implemented to educate and motivate high school students to becoming young entrepreneurs.
