- Title
Getting Your Munchkin's Habits Right: Toothbrushing in Kids.
- Abstract
This article provides guidelines for parents on how to establish a toothbrushing routine for children. It emphasizes the importance of introducing toothbrushing at an early age and making it a fun activity. The article suggests wiping the baby's gums with a wet cloth before the eruption of the first tooth and starting brushing with a tiny amount of fluoridated toothpaste once the first tooth appears. It also recommends gradually increasing the amount of toothpaste and supervising children under 6 years old to prevent swallowing toothpaste. The article further advises limiting sugar intake and visiting the dentist regularly for check-ups.
