- Abstract
The article reports on the urge by the international women's rights organization MADRE on the U.S. government to stop flooding African countries with its agricultural surplus and convince them instead to buy crops from local African farmers. It notes that buying agricultural products in Africa will impart enormous added benefits especially to women farmers. The reasons why the innovative solution pushed by MADRE should be implemented particularly in Sudan are also offered.
