- Abstract
This article is derived from research that aims at identifying the pedagogical strategies implemented to enhance logical-mathematical thinking in the teaching process in childhood. The methodology is based on a qualitative approach and a documentary review modality, having as a source of information classroom projects, diaries, and planning of teachers in training of the Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education. The most important results refer to the game as the main strategy in strengthening logical-mathematical thinking in early childhood, highlighting the articulations of notions with numerical, spatial, and metric thinking. Within the conclusions of the research it is highlighted that the game, as a didactic strategy and guiding activity in early childhood, enables the mobilization of thought through questions, concerns, understanding of daily life, and the functionality of things.
