- Abstract
The article discusses trademark law and the protection of well-known foreign marks in the U.S. as of September 2012, focusing on an analysis of technology's impact on commerce and the law. America's Lanham Act is addressed in relation to international trademark obligations. A proposed amendment to the Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS) is examined, along with the reported limitations of territoriality and Article 6(3) of the Paris Convention of 1883.
