The article focuses on problem-solving therapy (PST), a psychological intervention for individuals on a depressive state. Originally developed by A. M. Nezu and partners, PST can be used with adults, medical patients, and disabled adults for treatment of depression. The Problem-Solving Treatment for Primary Care (PST-PC) and the Social Problem Solving Therapy (SPST) processes are described in terms of the number of treatment sessions and their rationale.
