- Abstract
The article describes the case of a scarlet macaw with proventricular dilatation disease. Depression leading to head was the initial clinical sign observed on the macaw. Negative results were obtained from Chlamydophilia and polyomavirus testing. Normal gastrointestinal transit times and motility and the presence of metallic foreign bodies in the ventriculus were also seen using contrast-enhanced fluoroscopy.
