- Authors
Abram, Joseph
- Abstract
The article discusses the French reconstruction of the city of Le Havre in France, which was considered a real architectural methodology of city planning for urban development. It notes that the idea of reconstruction was conceived by Jacques Gilbert under the leadership of Auguste Perret. It states that the definitive plan for the reconstruction of Le Havre was conservative with the monumental character that emphasizes the triangle of the Avenue Foch, Boulevard Francois, and Rue de Paris. It adds that Le Havre has preserved its legacy for modern architecture and urban heritage of an exceptional quality.
