The article reports on the government's mandate for all regulated health and social care professionals in England and Wales, including dental care professionals, to report cases of female genital mutilation (FGM). National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) helplines head John Cameron says the government's mandate is aimed to try and bring perpetrators to justice. He cites that the NSPCC FGM helpline was created to offer help and advice to parents and professionals.
