- Abstract
The author reflects on the significance of impact factors of nursing education research on knowledge and the practices of schooling, learning, and teaching in the discipline. She remarks that impact factor data provide useful information for the review process if used in a judicious manner and with an awareness of what these data indicates. She added that it is timely for members of the nursing discipline to discuss ways in which review processes can account for the impact of research.
