- Abstract
The article reports on the findings of the study which examines whether regulatory T cells (Tregs) interfere with the redox-based circuits that promote early activation and growth of effector T cell (Teff). The study proposes a new mechanism of action for Tregs in inhibiting the accumulation of dendritic cells (DCs)-secreted extracellular cysteine. It reveals that the presence of Tregs endangers the accumulation of extracellular cysteine and the consequent redox remodeling.
