- Abstract
The article discusses the problem of chemical pollution and the need for innovative and exponential approaches to address it. It highlights the interconnectedness of climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution, and emphasizes the importance of finding solutions to each issue. The authors propose two approaches: the concept of "Green Swans," which refers to desirable solutions that are resilient and regenerative, and application-oriented approaches to scientific roadmapping, which focus on generating solution strategies and tools for decision-making. The article concludes by calling on environmental scientists to contribute to the development and operationalization of Green Swan ideas to counter chemical pollution.
