- Abstract
An essay is presented on jurisprudence related challenges of discriminatory grand jury selection practices that form the basis for Batson decision in Batson v. Kentucky, a case from the Supreme Court of the U.S. It discusses the effectiveness of grand jury and its potential to improvise the administration of criminal justice. It explores the relevance of Batson decision that provides equal protection benefits in the jury selection without any racial discrimination.
