- Abstract
The article presents a study whcih examines the difference between normal esophageal microbiota, Barrett's esophagus (BE), and esophageal adenocarcinomas (EAC). Results of the study revealed bacteria and yeast as important inhabitants of the esophageal microbiome and the association of an increase in gram negative bacteria with BE and EAC.
