- Abstract
The article discusses a court case wherein the Supreme Court of Canada will have to decide on the constitutionality of Canada's ban on assisted suicide. In Lee Carter et al. v. Attorney General of Canada et al., constitutional lawyer Joseph Arvay argues that the country's assisted suicide law violates the dignity and autonomy of all Canadians. In response, the federal government claims that the issue has been settled in 1993 in a case involving assisted suicide advocate Sue Rodriguez.
