- Abstract
The article presents the Variability in sedation assessment among intubated patients in the emergency department. Topics discussed include Analgesia and sedation for patients who are mechanically ventilated may improve endotracheal tube tolerance, and facilitate other aspects of care including imaging, procedures, and travel to different parts of the hospital; and lighter levels of sedation are associated with improved patient outcomes in intensive care unit (ICU) settings.
