- Abstract
The article explores the transformative potential of pole dance through three key embodied experiences: spinning movement, the interactive relationship with the pole, and unique dance forms. It argues that these experiences challenge colonial binaries, expanding embodied existence beyond human/nature distinctions. Topics discussed include embodied materiality, decolonial feminism, and reconfigurations of visual perception.
