- Abstract
This article examines the impact of direct features of adenomyosis on the cumulative live birth rate (CLBR) after the first in vitro fertilization (IVF) or intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) treatment. The study included 1037 women aged 25-39 years undergoing their first IVF/ICSI treatment at a university hospital. The results showed that women with direct features of adenomyosis had a lower CLBR compared to women without these features. Additionally, women with direct features were more likely to experience miscarriage after frozen embryo transfer. The findings suggest that detailed ultrasound examination should be considered for all women undergoing IVF/ICSI treatment.
