- Authors
Brewis, Brian; Stockdale, Michael
- Abstract
The article discusses several court cases which concerned the judge's decision to admit Low Template DNA evidence and DNA derived from a mixed sample in which there were least two or three contributors. The DNA sample in each case contained 19 or 20 components of the defendant's DNA, due to which the court considered the factors that might be required to enable the expert to give an evaluative opinion so that the jury would be able to assess the significance of the DNA findings.
