- Title
Execution on judgments.
- Authors
Paine, Donald F.
- Abstract
The article reports on the emergence of the New Rule 69, which will govern the execution on judgments in Tennessee, so as to consolidate procedures established by statute, court precedent, and custom into a single orderly rule. It presents a comparison of the various situations, prior to the establishment of the rule and after its establishment. It suggests that, in order to avoid a hiatus when other liens might gain priority, prudent creditor's counsel should obtain an extension pursuant to Rule 69.04 and register the order before ten years elapse from original judgment entry.
