- Abstract
The article discusses the artistic collaboration between the late German-born composer Joseph Martin Kraus and the late poet Carl Michael Bellman in Sweden during the late 18th century. It discusses several of their major works including the 1787 piano cantata "Gracernas besök vid Professoren och Riddaren Herr Tobias Sergels Återkomst," the triptych Fiskarstugan," and their likely cooperation in the song "Ti sento sospiri." The article discusses the personal bond between Kraus and Belllman and the significance of their work upon Gustavian poetry and song.
