- Abstract
The article presents the results of a survey on rotavirus activity in the U.S. conducted by the National Respiratory and Enteric Virus Surveillance System (NREVSS) and the New Vaccine Surveillance Network (NVSN) from November 2007 to May 2008. Based on the NREVSS data, the onset of rotavirus activity is reportedly delayed by 2 to 4 months. It is also cited that out of the 121,100 rotavirus antigen detection tests conducted, a total of 26,478 have shown positive results. The effect of rotavirus vaccination is reportedly subject for further study.
