- Abstract
Due to population growth, we are increasingly suffering from environmental changes. Civil Engineering plays a large part in these changes, as it is associated with major processes of transformation of nature, producing large infrastructures for urban development. Permeable concrete becomes different from conventional concrete due to its large void ratios, thus allowing it to become too permeable, allowing water to drain through the concrete instead of running through the pavement. The present work aimed to bibliographically analyze the viability of pervious concrete as a pavement and maximize its environmental benefits.
