- Abstract
The article examines the development and dissemination of conspiracy theories, particularly the anti-Semitic ritual murder narrative. It emphasizes that conspiracy claims occur in various forms of media and are not limited to specific social groups. It also points out that conspiracy theories are not only spread on the internet or social media, but are also used by those in power and politicians to channel fears and explain crises. The text discusses the investigation of ritual murder legends in relation to conspiracy theories. It argues that studying these legends across different eras provides insight into the historical change and dynamics of conspiracy narratives. Various books, articles, and paintings are mentioned that deal with topics such as ritual murder legends, anti-Semitism, and conspiracy theories.
