- Abstract
The author offers insights on a study published within the issue which focused on the language policy for non-native English language-speaking international teaching assistants (ITA) at the University of Minnesota. Topics discussed include the evolution of the English language proficiency requirements for teaching purposes, the ideologies regarding language and education that need to be acknowledged by higher education administrators, and the observed decline in popular publications about ITA.
