Chattin-McNichols, John
- Abstract
The author discusses the activities of the Teachers Research Network (TRN) from 1997 to 2001. She states that in 1997 and 1998, TRN members gathered in Northwest University in Evanston, Illinois to meet the interest of teachers in the Chicago area. She relates that in August 2001, the first west coast group met in Hayward, California. She lists the Hayward attendees and their proposed projects including Irene Baker, Bonnie Mathisen and Julie Winnette. Baker proposes to interview trainers how or whether Great Lessons are presented while Mathisen suggests a year-long observations of three classrooms, focusing on a teacher's verbal use of encouragement based on Alfred Adler's theories, as implemented in their school.
