- Abstract
The article presents a report of the American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA) Electronic Health Record (EHR)-2020 Task Force on the status and future direction of EHRs. Topics include recommendations in the report which include clarifying and simplifying certification and Meaningful Use (MU) regulations, decreasing data entry burden for the clinician, and EHRs to enable systematic learning and research at the point of care during routine practice.
