- Abstract
The article discusses the findings from a community-based tobacco cessation project that trained lay health influencers to conduct brief interventions. A discussion of the four major lessons about sustainability that were found as a result of the project is presented. The implications that the project has for health promotion in areas beyond tobacco cessation are examined.
