Abstract
The article focuses on the data from the Dutch and Finnish-built Ozone Monitoring Instrument (OMI) on Aura satellite of the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) which shows long tracks of elevated nitrogen dioxide levels along certain shipping routes. Topics further discussed includes heavy ship traffice at Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, air over the northeastern Indian Ocean and Global Ozone Monitoring Experiment.
