- Abstract
The article presents a study which shows clear evidence on differences in receptivity between male and female high school students. It is evident that students who undertake sexuality programs are more likely to use effective methods of contraception, have fewer unintended pregnancies and delay the onset of sexual activity. The investigation employs a cross-sectional design using social survey techniques. A convergence was observed towards higher receptivity regardless of gender with further experiences gained from undertaking more curriculum units over time.
