- Abstract
The author discusses a report from A.J. Spittle et al which discussed the possibility that perinatal brain damage may not be the only contributor to development disability. He indicates that neonatal brain damage and subsequent developmental disability are parts of a dynamic and multifactorial developmental process that begins before delivery and continues into childhood. He notes that looking at predictive values involves some caveats such as they are misleading and are univariable estimates.
