- Abstract
The article reports of an allergic contact dermatitis case from iroko and pine wood dust. A 46-year-old joiner presented with dyshidrotic hand eczema. He also had dyshridotic lesions on the soles as well as erythematous lesions on the arms, face and chest. He had been working in a window factory for 6 years, when eczema developed on the fingers for the first time. Both his parents had hand eczema. The patient described eczema behind the knees, some years before the hand eczema appeared. Prick testing showed multiple immediate-type hypersensitivities to pollens and house dust mite.
