Patient satisfaction surveys: who benefits?

- Abstract
Online physician reviews are becoming increasingly popular among patients, allowing them to communicate their attitudes toward their physicians. These reviews provide patients with a means to find physicians, schedule appointments, and review their experiences. However, dermatologists have mixed perceptions of patient reviews, with some feeling that they are not helpful for patients or correlated with better care. Nevertheless, implementing patient reviews at earlier stages of medical training may help providers optimize patients' experiences and improve patient satisfaction. Embracing patient feedback is an opportunity to build patient engagement and trust, and patient reviews can also assist researchers in identifying patients' desires and enhancing perceptions of care.
