- Abstract
The article presents a 14-year-old boy with disfiguring, slowly enlarging cutaneous lesions on the face of six years' duration. Examination showed a large, hyperpigmented lichenified plaque on the right cheek which extended to the infraorbital fold and down to the mandible. It indicates that the patient was diagnosed with phaeohyphomycosis caused by Exophiala jeanselmei.
