- Abstract
The article delineates and explores the study made during the quarantine testing of Apollo 11 and 12 lunar materials. Scientific review of the quarantine study was conducted by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's (NASA) Interagency Committe on Back Contamination. The study was organized to establish wether lunar materials contains any agent capable of generating an epiphytotic disease that represents any species of the plant kingdom as well as to ensure any confinement of infectious agents that might be present in the lunar materials or generated in the lunar-exposed plants.
