- Abstract
Knowledge management is fast becoming a commercial necessity for many organizations, in order that they manage their intellectual assets and gain competitive advantage. Knowledge management research focuses on the development of concepts, methods, and tools supporting the management of human knowledge. The main objective of this paper is to survey some of the basic concepts that have been used about knowledge management and ontologies.
