- Abstract
This article provides information on a survey of how Japanese executives view their country's business success. The survey provides insight into some of the factors that have contributed to the success of the Japanese economy. The author reports on the contrast between the official and unofficial viewpoints, noting that representatives of government and the main business federation tended to take the official view. The author outlines what this official viewpoint is noting that it is comprised of factors of production, capital, labor and technology to explain success.
